What is Dangan Ronpa?
Dnagan Ronpa started out as a video game franchise. It has since been portrayed in manga, novels and anime.
Dangan Ronpa has a huge fan base for such a recent franchise.
It started out with Dangan Ronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, where you play as Makoto Naegi, an ordinary boy who is going to attend Hope's Peak academy with 15 other students who excel in a particular subject. However, when they arrive, a black and white stuffed toy, Monokuma, appears and tells them he is their principal. He says they are staying there forever. But, there is a way out... kill someone and get away with it. So, it becomes a suspenseful survival of the fittest, and is full of tension and excitement. It has also been adapted into an anime, Dangan Ronpa: The Animation. If you haven't played the game, or seen the anime, I highly suggest you do so!
Dangan Ronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is the sequel to the above game. It brings new characters in a new location and is similar to the original.
